Refrigerant Gas Cylinder
Refrigerant cylinders are special containers for storing and transporting refrigerants.
Different refrigerants have different physical and chemical properties and therefore require different cylinders for storage. For example, ammonia (R717) is a commonly used refrigerant, and because ammonia is corrosive, its cylinders require special anti-corrosion treatment. Freon refrigerants (e.g. R22, R134a, etc.) are stored using specially designed cylinders that comply with relevant international and national standards.
The name of the refrigerant stored or its corresponding refrigerant number is clearly marked on the cylinder. This helps users to be accurate when choosing and using refrigerants. For example, with a cylinder labeled “R134a”, the user knows that this particular refrigerant is stored inside.
